Well summer is here, sometimes the weather has been a bit crazy, but Midsummer's day is only a week or so away now. So it's the time of year to push those jeans and trousers to the back of your wardrobe and get some skirt action going. Matching skirts and shoes can sometimes be a problem, and wearing the wrong style of shoe can spoil your whole look. So here are some great tips on what style of shoe goes with what skirt - follow these and you can't go wrong. Lets hope we have some great summer days to show off our pins in style.

Pleated Skirts

Pleated skirts are still on trend this summer, keep the look modern by wearing them with a pair of statement chunky wedges. SJP wears her pleated skirt with stiletto ankle straps, which we think gives her rather a serious secretary look!

Denim Skirts

The return of the denim skirt is here - see Gwyneth looking totally at ease in her midi-length button through skirt matched up with wedge shoe boots.

Pencil Skirts

Ever the classic - team up a knee length pencil skirt with classic stiletto court shoes - but you could choose contrasting colours for a twist on the classic look, however, Jennifer carries it off perfectly here.
